I loved the style of the dress and knew I wanted something simple so I could find a statement headpiece to complete my look. I had been researching ‘pearl head bands’ for months, trying to find something I loved, and I posted on a wedding Facebook page ‘does anyone know an Australian business that could make a wedding headband with pearls on it?’ And someone comment Michelle Pagonis business Instagram page. I straight away fell in love with the crown I had. Every step along the way, you Michelle was amazing to work with and the second I opened the box to see it in person, I cried and knew it was perfect. I had so many people compliment it and my hairdresser said ‘this is the most spectacular crown; you look like a real-life princess’ and called her daughter into the room to look at it
“Together with loved ones”
My husbands mum passed away when he was 14, so we always wanted to incorporate her in as much of the wedding as possible. Her favourite place in the world was mount warning.
So, this is where he proposed to me. We knew we wanted to have the wedding around the area, and we found a family friend who was happy for us to have it at their house (they were close to his mum). So, in all our photos, the sun is shining behind mount warning and we knew she was there with us. As a surprise gift to him, I got the 4 most influential women to his mum and him when she passed, to take it in turns to dance with him to her favourite song, just like a mother and son dance would be. It was such a loving and moving moment that we will all cherish forever. It was just such a big celebration of love and everyone enjoyed the whole day and night. People camped at the wedding location and watched the sun come up the next day. It truly was the best day of our lives.
